And I'm glad to hear that you have a good relationship with your adoptive parents. I really want adopt kids later in life- and I've always been concerned about how that issue might affect them.

But then, i guess being raised by a sixteen-year-old would come with it's own set of difficulties. And love is love- however it's packaged.

your bio-mom was smart- and, oddly enuf, I imagine she must have cared greatly for you to be able to give you to good parents. That's not easy to do- but can sometimes be the most responsible thing i guess.

Very true Lulu! I never doubted she loved me and wanted the best for me, it's just that she wasn't able to provide that in those days. Back then adoption was considered normal, now there's fertility drugs & stuff, etc.

She did get me baptised before I went off for adoption...

A friend of mine gave up her first son for adoption because her and her mate were very young and not ready for the responsibility. I always admired her for that.

She got really offended when I wished her a happy mother's day one year though. I don't think she felt like a mother. She now has three other children with the same person, but they're going through a very messy divorce/ separation.

I don't think she ever really grew up enough to raise kids. Her mate's parents are helping to raise them now. She lost both her parents way too soon. :(
